We love repairing and restoring signage to like new condition or better. The Canal Overlook Monument Sign presented an opportunity to improve the original design with a fresh, modern, updated look.
The Canal Overlook Luxury Apartments located in Downtown Indianapolis, contacted us to help them restore their Monument Sign which was quite old and difficult to read due to weather damage and aging.
In addition to restoring the Canal Overlook sign, the Becovic Management Team wanted to give it a fresh new modern and contemporary appearance. It was important to add “value added” sales content, including “Downtown Canal Living, Stylish Urban Apartments, and Award Winning Management.” Equal to featuring their phone number and web address.
Upon inspection, The Canal Overlook is a large monument sign, the overall height is approximately 24′ feet tall and 10′ wide. All of the non-brick materials / substrates needed to be replaced. In order to secure the new aluminum structure, Vector Sign Solutions would need to design and build a brand new framework.
After meeting with the Becovic Management Team, Vector Sign Solutions presented a comprehensive layout and design, illustrating how their new sign would look. In addition, our Graphic Design Team recommended sections of aluminum to be “embossed”. This provides better message replacement while adding a high-end aesthetic style for the face of the signage. The “push-through” acrylic lettering would be lit up with white LED lights.
Once our client approved their signage proposal our production team got to work. In order to restore the sign we had to remove the damaged materials and build the new framework.
Once the construction was completed our team was ready to install the new 
face and lighting components.
The final restoration was completed and our client was thrilled with the final restoration.
